Michael Goldsmith won the Best Documentary / Reenactment award for Discovering Jacob, a film based on Sally Regenhard’s “Skyscraper Safety Campaign,” started in honor of her son, Christian, a firefighter who was called to tower #2 of the World Trade Center on 9/11.
Available in a series of webisodes on StayTunedTV.net, the film brings to the viewer a glimpse of the personal tragedy brought about by the 2001 attacks.
Trey Stokes won the award for Best Spin-Off (as well as Best Director and Best Special Effects) for his series, Star Wars: Pink Five. The series centers around Stacy, who finds herself swooping into the world of Star Wars, becoming Yoda’s 2nd apprentice and dealing with the Death Star.
Look for Stacy who “may be a little ADD, but all heroine,” on StayTunedTV.net!

Pencils of Promise
Posted in Customer work, Shoots on May 11, 2010 by Division CameraNot long ago, Pencils of Promise founder Adam Braun had a “simple desire to build just one school in the developing world.” Today, the movement boasts over 40,000 involved individuals and three schools built, with more in the works. It’s a great cause with a great mission.
One of Indie’s awesome customers, filmmaker Philip Buiser, decided to document the openings. Philip rented some equipment from Indie Rentals and hopped a plane to Laos for two weeks.
We were excited to be a part of Philip’s project and even more excited to see some of his footage! Check out some of the clips below, and be sure to read his contributions to the Pencils of Promise blog, too!

ALL POSITIONS:
- Work week is M-F, 9-6. Plan on working regularly at the shop.
- Rental house experience is a plus.
- Must be able to self-manage and complete necessary tasks.
- Must be thorough and work well with people.
PREP TECH:
- Minimum 2 years on-set experience as AC, Operator and/or DP.
- Must be current with Red One cameras and accessories.
- Canon / DSLR knowledge and experience a plus.
QUALITY CONTROL:
- Knowledge of digital cameras, Red One, DSLR, lenses and accessories.
- Plan on working in the equipment cage consistently.
OUTSIDE SALES:
- Create and grow business from current and potential clients.
- Drive to clients locations, sets, lunch and drink meetings.
- Miles and T&E will be paid. Low base + commission.
- Applicants willing to work for commission only will be given priority.
